BABYSITTIG COORDINATOR - Babysitting is offered at the General Assembly Meetings throughout the school year; however, the first General Assembly Meeting/Open House is not included.  There will be St. Al's students ranging in grades 5th - 8th who have been certified by taking a babysitting course to watch your children in a classroom on site while you attend the meeting.  Activities are provided. CAREER DAY - This event takes place at school for the junior high students.  The event happens two years in a row and then is suspended the next.  The chairperson is in charge of getting guest speakers to come and share their career's with the students and organizing the day.
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK - Children’s Prayer Group meets every Tuesday morning before school from 7:15-7:40.  This is a group for the kids from grades K-8.  Currently we have 47 members.  The theme each week changes, it is based on the Gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday.  It’s a time to discuss the Gospel reading in order to bring meaning to the kids.  We play games, sing songs, do skits, have fun and most of all pray together.  All students are welcome anytime, no two weeks are alike.  A light breakfast and juice is available. EVERYBODY COUNTS - This is a program designed to teach the children about the different disabilities and diseases people can have.  It teaches them how people cope with handicaps or disabilities. Each grade is taught about something different according to their maturity level.  This requires about an 1 to 1 -~ hours of time.  The time is set up according to the teachers flexibility, 2 or 3 volunteers per grade or class is good.  All instructions and materials are provided at school (optional workshops are available).
PLAYGROUND -  Volunteers come to aid teachers in maintaining order on the playground or in the classroom for recess everyday after lunch for grades 1-5.  The time required is 11:00 - 12:00.  This covers both recesses.  When you arrive, sign in at the office, get a guest name tag, and pick up the First Aid Kit and radio.  Introduce yourself to the teacher on the playground.  Please move among the children to maintain order.  If a ball goes into the street, teachers have requested that a parent get the ball, not the students.  In the event of rain, you will still be needed for indoor recess.  If you are unable to make your scheduled day, please find a replacement.  If you are unable to find a replacement, please contact school. PRAYER GROUP -
ROOM PARENT COORDINATOR -  This person organizes room parents for each class given to them from the volunteer sheet and sends out guidelines and the student list to each volunteer.  They also send out reminders about Fish Fry, Basket Raffle and classroom parties.  TECHNOLOGY -
