Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 187!
Cub Scouts is a year-round program that offers fun activities that promote character and leadership development. Our program is designed to be hands-on, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in our programs. The pack's committee of leaders and parents plan and put together a fun, educational and enriching family program that everyone will enjoy. Our pack is open to anyone who lives in the surrounding area. We partner with Saint Martin's of Tours as our co-parish, and we enjoy a great relationship in scouting.
2018 - 2019
Were are getting ready to start a new scouting year. We had a bunch of fun over the summer, going to summer camp and spending a day on the white water river, but it is time to start working on our scout program for the year and earn those bandges and belt loops. We will be getting the years calander out as soon as possible.
Annual Water Fight Night August 24th at 6:30 in the Annex Parking lot.
Scouts always look forward to our first meeting of the year. A day for our scouts to blow off steam after their first week of returning to school. This year we will have some hot dogs and snacks for everyone to enjoy as we get together and talk about our summers, first week of school and our plans for the coming year.
Interested in becoming a Cub Scout?
We will have sign ups for new boys on August 30th at 6:00 pm in the Saint Aloysius School Cafeteria. Parents must attend and pack dues of $65 for the year are due at the time of sign up. More About Pack 187
Our pack usually holds our pack meetings on the third Wends of each month. A pack meeting is when all of our dens, the smaller group of scout arranged by age and grade, get together for a large group activity. Our pack is active in Dan Beard Council and we try to attend many district wide events, such as the CubORee, SpookORee and Scout Residence Camp during the summer.
We do our own fundraising to help offset the costs of scouting for your family, so we can offer you a great product at a low price. Most of our fundraising occurs durring the month of November, and include a Busken Bakery Pie sale and an Italian Dinner for local patrons.
